Keyword Research for SEO Conversion

If you have a website that sells products or provides a service, then you know the value of search engine optimization. You are well aware that there is on page search engine optimization, and off page search engine optimization, and only if both of these techniques are combined and used smartly and effectively, will you actually be able to leverage your website to make sales and generate income.
However, many people do not understand and do not employ useful and well researched keywords for search engine optimization purposes. In this article, we will discuss how we can focus on converting keywords by using conversion tracking.
Many people on the web are successful in their Internet businesses, because of one thing -- keyword conversion tracking. This is one of the primary focuses of Profit Lance, which is a program geared towards helping beginner Internet entrepreneurs to start businesses, set up websites, and run them effectively and profitably. In essence, anyone who does not track their conversions are simply spending money and getting nothing in return.
This is because if specific keywords that you are advertising on PPC campaigns do not actually lead to any sales, there is no point to continue to pay for clicks resulting from those keywords. For example, I once left my online web store to sort of run on autopilot, and in a typical week, I would make approximately $100 in sales. Because this was not too bad, I simply left it for weeks at a time, hoping that sales would increase.
This was an obvious mistake, because I was spending a lot of money advertising for keywords that did not pull in enough qualified traffic to convert to sales. Most of those searching and clicking my ads ended up leaving the website within a short period of time. Only after I began tracking my keyword conversions, did I come to the conclusion that I should not be advertising for specific keywords that have been performing poorly.
And what I did was maximized my bids for those keywords that were performing up to par and providing results.
A lot of people who run advertising campaigns tend to get lazy after a while.
They see sales roll in, and they never analyze it, and improve upon it in order to increase sales. They sort of run into a sales ceiling mode, and leave it at that. That is fine, if you're okay with the sales that you are currently making.
However, if you're looking to maximizing and multiplying your profits and sales potential, you must take action, and the most important step is to track your keywords and check for conversion rates. Again, Profit Lance offers many tools and resources that help beginning Internet entrepreneurs to focus on converting keywords.

With the search engines evolving each and every day, it's absolutely critical to not fall into the trap of following the latest and greatest craze for ranking highly in the search engines. Keyword Elite Program - Do You Need It?

Why do you need them?
I firmly believe that you really don't need to purchase many tools to be successful in the online world. What is really required is a strong work ethic and commitment to your cause to produce a winning campaign.
The difficulty lies in the fact that producing a successful campaign can be very labor intensive. A successful campaign will require extensive testing to the keywords that actually deliver the best results. I encourage you to read this article, and then take a look at my courtesy eBook - I hope that these resources will help to guide you in your decision making.
Do you have the time?
Keyword Elite Program is the perfect tool for those who just do not have the kind of time to put in running hours of optimization tests that are required to produce a great campaign. Think about it this way: if you are starting an article writing campaign, you have to find the right keywords to use in all of your articles, an exhaustive and long process. Then, you will invest hours writing each article. Choosing the right keywords is critical to success to drive the kind of rankings that you want on all the major search engines.
Keyword Elite program streamlines the entire process by doing all of the querying and checking for you. Instead of spending hours Googling keywords, you entire a broad keyword, choose the number of keywords you would like, and in less than two minutes KE gives you the results that you need by allowing you to choose from 200 of the best keywords. If you want even more optimized keywords, KE can deliver as you perform more searches.
Put them to Work Right Now!
Keyword Elite program can deliver up to 13,000 related keywords for your AdSense campaigns; keywords that you can put to work on your websites immediately. By letting KE do the work for you, you save valuable time that can be spent on creating better articles and content, resulting in higher click-throughs and more revenue.
Different Ways to Analyze Keywords
Because KE is a comprehensive solution, you can analyze keywords in many different ways:
1. Determine the number of search queries for that term on the major search engines,
2. See what the current bids are (essential to starting an AdWords campaign, this allows you to save money by bidding smart).
3. Analyze your competition: how many other sites are really optimizing their pages for your keywords?
4. KE also allows you to see how many AdWords campaigns are running for any keyword, and more importantly just how successful they are at generating clicks.
For Competitive Terms It's Essential
Now, you might not need all of this information for less competitive keywords, but it can be essential for the more competitive terms. On a basic level, all you really need to know is whether or not a keyword will deliver the traffic you need. You can do this by looking at the number of pages that are using the keyword as a title; doable with Google, but time consuming.
Skip the Tedious Work, please!
Then the real fun begins. Painstakingly write down each keyword, make your notes, check out the competition etc. KE allows you to skip this most tedious part of the process by doing the legwork for you. Keyword Elite program gives you the information that you need in minutes that would normally take hours to compile - information that is essential to your AdWords and AdSense campaigns. This tool is a must-have time saver that can deliver the information that you need to make the most informed decisions when creating and running your campaigns.

How to Increase Your Website Traffic With Simple Strategies

Focus on Your Customer.
The first step to sales when customers visit your site is to see the products they were looking for. Of course, SEO and better SERP rankings can't keep your customer on your site or make them buy. If you happen to sell more than one product or service, provide all necessary information about this, may be by keeping the information at a different page. By providing suitable and easily visible links, the customer can navigate to these pages and get the details.
Understand About Your Target Customer.
This is definitely important. You can't sell a product to your consumer if you don't know what do they want? Some information like this will be useful. Why do they like your products? Do you offer coupons? Are your prices lower than your competitor's?
Do you responds faster to client questions? Are your product descriptions better? Do you have better return policies and guarantees than your competitor's?
Give enough contact information. When you sell your product using online website, your customer can buy your products 24 hours a day and also your customers may be from other states or even country which are ten thousands of miles away. You must always provide contact information, preferably on every page of your website, complete with your email address, telephone number and anything that will help your customer reaches you. People may need to contact you about sales, general information or question about the product they have bought on your website.
Those simple strategies will help you gain customer reliability which is very expensive money can't buy.

Mass Directory Submission

If you were to ask webmasters what the goals for their web site are, I expect that you would find that many of them would like to increase the number of visitors that their web site gets.
There is a simple reason for this
- generally speaking, the more visitors ("traffic") that a web site gets, the more money it makes. Of course, for simply putting up a web site and hoping for traffic is unlikely to produce results - if you want traffic you have to work for it, by actively promoting your web site.
There are many things that you can do to promote a web site, but I would suggest that a significant part of your promotion efforts should go into activites which will increasing the number of incoming links ("backlinks") to your web site.
This is for two reasons:
1. Links to your site can lead directly to traffic.
When a person see a link to your site, and clicks on it, you have a visitor.
2. More significantly, links to your web site can help contribute to higher search engine rankings. Search engines, (particularly Google with its famous "PageRank" system), take the number of links to a web site into account when ranking their search results. All other things being equal, a web site that has more incoming links will tend to rank more highly than one with fewer incoming links. But why is a higher ranking important? I expect you already know the answer to this - when people search, they click on higher ranked results much more frequently than lower ranked results.
One easy method to get many links to your site is to submit to directories.
There are over 1,000 Internet directories that list web sites, and many of them accept free submission. Thus a mass directory submissions is an easy way to quickly gain hundreds of incoming links. Of course, you may not have the time to manually submit to hundreds of directories (and to be honest, it's unlikely to be a good use of your time), so you might want to consider paying somebody to do the work for you, or investing in software to automate the process.

Getting Traffic With Banner Advertisements

While getting traffic is important, it is also important to promote your site effectively.
You must be able to capture their attention.
To do this, you need to have good promotion methods on your website. One of the promotion methods is banner advertisement. Banner advertisement is an excellent advertising method. It contains graphic and more relating information on it.
People will be more well-informed when they look at the picture on the banner. Some people will prefer to look at a banner as it captures their information directly, they do not need to read through paragraphs of information to reach their plain text link at the end of the page. Nowadays, banner advertisement is getting more clicks as compared to the past.
What Banner Ads Can Do For You
Some sites provide banner advertising service, where you can pay them monthly to put your banner on their website. Putting your banner there may bring visitors from the website with high traffic to your website. Although you have to pay quite a lot to advertise on high traffic sites, you will not regret it. Getting traffic and sales will be faster. It will be faster than waiting for search engine optimization techniques to optimize your website to the top of search engine results. Even when you are at the top of search engine results, you will still have to wait for the people to search for it. If few people search for your information, you may have to wait for a long time.
Besides paid methods, there is also free banner exchange service. There are advantages and disadvantages of using free banner exchange and paid banner ad services. They are listed below.
Free Banner Exchanges
Free banner exchange is a free service when you and another exchange banners. Both sites must agree to put each other banners on their sites. Your banner will be placed on their site and their banner will be placed on your site. Being a free service, it will have disadvantages.
The first disadvantage is that you can only have limited number or few sites to exchange banner with. You cannot have too much sites to exchange banners with, this is because you will end up with lots of banners on your website. The more banners you have, the longer it will take your page to load. People do not have the time to wait for your page to slowly load.
Impatient people will just simply exit your site.
The second disadvantage is that if you are running an affiliate website, people click on their banner containing their affiliate link instead of clicking on yours.
You are actually competing with them.
The third disadvantage is that some sites employ black hat search engine optimization techniques. They place an awful lot of banner advertisements at their site. It is a "banner farm" and it is a source for banners to be placed there. These sites do not have any content at all. Search engines like Google hate this kind of practice and it will ban the site from the search engine. As you are exchanging banners with them, it may affect your website reputation. These "banner farms" or "link farms" will do nothing good for your site as your banner are among one of the hundreds in their site. It is extremely essential that you check the sites before exchanging banners. Make sure that it is a reliable, safe and trusted site.
Paid Banner Ads
The disadvantage of paid banner ads is that it is expensive; however they will eventually pay off if you choose the right ones. It is important that you check that the sites has high amount of traffic and the site has content related to your website. This is to ensure that you will get some of their highly targeted traffic from their site. Check that your banner gets placed in a position that a person will be more likely to see. If a site placed your banner at one small corner of the page where people may not see. Stop paying them, switch to another website. You may also consider choosing a site with lesser competitor banners.
Banner ads can reap in profits for you site if implement the right methods. Remember to heed my advices.

Website Submission Software

Is your web site getting enough traffic?
Would you like to have more visitors? Do you think you could make more money if your web site was more popular? I think if you were to ask webmasters the answers to these questions, you would find that many do want more traffic, and believe that they could make more money if they could get that extra traffic.
Although there are many different ways that web sites can be promoted, most webmasters who are struggling with traffic issues, would I expect emphasize search engine promotion. This is because they know that most people who surf the Internet begin at a search engine, and web sites that do well in search engines can get large amount of cost-free targeted traffic.
The question is what do you do to get more visitors from search engines?
Many webmasters seem to believe that the problem is that their web site simply hasn't been submitted to search engines (or enough search engines).
This is incorrect. Major search engines like Google or MSN (which are of course what most searchers use) will find you provided other web sites link to you, and will generally list provided you don't engage in questionable marketing practices (like attempting to spam the search engine's index, or linking to scummy sites).
There's simply no need to submit to these?
Does this mean you don't need to submission software?
Well the truth is that you don't need submission software, but there are certain types that you may find useful. The things, I am talking about are tools that you can use to submit to various specialist types of sites in order to gain more incoming links ("backlinks") to your web site. The purpose of getting backlinks is two-fold: firstly, so that search engines find your site initially, and secondly, and more importantly in the long run, is the fact that some search engines take backlinks into account when ranking their results - sites with more backlinks may be listed higher in the results, and thus get more visitors from the search engine.
What kind of submission tools am I talking about?
1. Directory Submission Software
- These are programs that submit your site to Internet directories (Internet directories are sites containing categorized lists of other web sites). While there are a few directories that may send significant traffic, the real goal here is to get lots of easy quick backlinks. As there are over a thousand Internet directories that accept submissions, this shouldn't be too hard.
2. Article Submission Software
- if you write an original article, you can potentially submit it to hundreds of different article directories. Each copy of the article in a different article directory, as well as copies in other sites that reprint the article, will usually contain a "resource box" which may contain a link to your site. You can see where this is going - writing and submitting articles is another method of gaining backlinks. The best part about articles, is you can write and submit another one whenever you want
- do this on a regular basis, and you can get build up lots of backlinks.
3. Link Exchange Software
- Link exchanges with other sites is one of the traditional ways to get backlinks on the web. It still works, but if done manually it can be a lot of hassle - you have to find sites to swap links with, submit to them, edit your own link page to contain a link back, and periodically check that each link partner is maintaining there link to you. Several different programs (such as OutRankSmart, SEO Elite and SEO Equalizer) which can facilitate this process.

Is Your Website Effective?

SEO Keyword Density Tool Ask yourself the question
- Is Your Website Effective?
Internet marketing is a very exciting advertising medium. Business large and small are taking advantage of this great medium to reach world-wide audiences. Doing this, in many ways means learning brand new marketing techniques.
Keyword density is a common phrase used in SEO marketing.
SEO stands for "search engine optimization". Search engines are the way your customers find you online. Without the highest listings on the various popular search engines all of your hard work is likely to go un-noticed by the very people who can benefit from your products and services.
This is where a good keyword density tool comes in to play.
Very few people understand keyword density, or the reasoning behind it, even though internet marketing is very well understood as a prime way to reach consumers. Once they have grasped the importance of having particular keywords that the search engines will pick up on and use to rank their site, they rarely know if they are employing those keywords.
Often times website creators think they have good keyword density just because they are talking about their product on the site.
This is not always the case.
In fact, it is often opposite the truth because they are spreading out too many different versions of keyword elements. Without the use of a keyword density tool it is almost impossible to tell for sure if you have achieved the proper level of keywords for your product.
By using the innovative keyword density tool @ MyDeafDog you can instantly tell if the wording on your website is effective for getting noticed on the search engines. It is simple to use. Just click on the link www.mydeafdog.com/keyword_density_tool.htm and type in your websites URL. In seconds the tool will deliver the most common words and phrases on your site and their number of occurrences.
This enables you to see if the proper keywords are being used, and if the keyword density is appropriate for your website.
Normal SEO marketing statistics show that a density of about 10 percent is the most effective means of garnering the proper search engine attention. This means that for every 100 words on your page you should have at least 1 mention of your particular keyword in play. Using the keyword density tool will show you if you are effective quickly.

SEO Tips Professionals Charge For

In the first part of this series I gave a broad overview of some of the things you can do to enhance your On-Page and Off-Page SEO (often referred to as On-Site and Off-Site). I glossed over a number of items, but I will proceed to run through these different aspects of SEO in this and the subsequent articles.
The first thing to focus on is your page title.
I didn't do more than allude to this in Part 1, but to the search engines there is no such thing as 'Web Site Ranking' it is very specifically 'Web Page Ranking' Every webpage is an autonomous Internet location to the search engines and can be ranked well, or poorly depending on its content and linking. For this reason each page on your site must have a different title.
Reason #1
The search engines detest duplicate content.
Their goal is to prove their value to their users by driving them to unique, pertinent content on the Internet. If they find duplicate content they lower the value of that content as it can be found in other places.
Reason #2
After the domain name/URL the page title is the first thing that the search engines see, and they place a lot of their weighting on that. The words you use in your title should match terms that people are commonly searching, and in that order if possible.
It's also important to consider search term proximity. The closer your terms are to each other the more the search engines will consider them as a phrase and weight them together. Try to avoid adding a lot of words like the, and, or, it, etc...to your title.
A bad title: Bad Credit and how to get a low Auto Loan
With this title, the search engines will split up Bad Credit and Auto Loan into two separate phrases and be less likely to consider them together. This essentially puts the site into competition with all of the other sites using Bad Credit and Auto Loan separately - a very large group.
Combining the phrases below will target them much more and reduce competition
A good title: Bad Credit Auto Loans - How to get a low rate
Don't worry about the s on Loans, the search engines (the major ones at least) are very good and dealing with plurals.
Reason #3
It's very unfortunate, but this is the one aspect that many SEO professionals do not take into account as fully as they should. I put it as #3,
but I honestly believe it's the most important. It is how human readable is it. This is a fatal flaw of much of SEO. So much focus has been placed on driving traffic that the visitors themselves are often overlooked. Everything you do, everything on your site, is going to be viewed and judged by visitors (OK, probably not your privacy policy or terms of service - those probably get cursory glances at best). The title of the page is what shows up as the title on search results. It's first the make or break decision point that your content presents a potential visitor with. If they aren't snagged by your title, or feel it's totally irrelevant, then their eyes slip past and they are on to the next listing. There's no point in getting to page one of the Google results if your title makes no sense to humans and they never click it.
I honestly hope that this information has proven useful and informative to you. Please feel free to contact me for any advice or clarification on creating great titles.

The Search Engines Is Relevant To You

I admit it; I search for my name a lot. First name Last name, click, send, wait, smile!
It's exciting to see what the search engines find most relevant about me.
If you haven't tried it yet, you should. Everybody likes to feel important or at the very least less obscure and more accessible online to friends, loved ones, fans, viewers, colleagues you name it.
What's interesting is the distinctly different types of websites and information that the top 3 (Google, MSN, and Yahoo) return in response to a first name last name search.
Now a lot of these differences are not specific to a name search and would fit in the categories of conational SEO, but the reasons why I think it's important to talk about this specific search separately from regular SEO are:

1. this search is one of the most important to an individual emotionally. Your first and last name appears on everything you create.
It can represent your reputation, your family heritage, your professional image, your expertise, and your experience, all at the same time.
Give me another two search words that cover all of that.

2. People use their first and last name in documents and websites in similar ways that differ extensively from other words Most of us, for example, don't have social networking accounts, blogs, press releases, work history, personal comments and video files all attached to a string of keywords like "buy movies now".
Recently, do to the pending release of the free movie Boy Who Never Slept and an aggressive marketing campaign, references to 'Solomon rothman' have increased dramatically and span many different sources. Considering this, I thought it would be a perfect time to do a search comparison on the different types of results to gain a fresh perspective on name searches and what each of the search engines prefer.
Initial things to note:

1. My myspace account is very new with almost to no outside links pointing at it.
2. I use my real name solomonrothman in my usernames for website profile pages. Examples of this are below. On MSN (results summarized in bullets)

* My website * My profile page on associated content * My profile page on Design Firms * My profile page on Blogs Flux * My user page on Wikipedia * Google Video listing * Contact page on top design firms
On Yahoo (results summarized in bullets)
* The other solomon rothman's website (not me) * My website * Specific associated content articles * Deep pages within my website * Archive.org * Press releases * Creative commons blog * Directories * Comments I made on some substantial blogs * Dig article * Google video
On Google (results summarized in bullets )
* My website * My user profile at Associated Content * Profile at blog Flux * WikiNews Article * Design Firms Profile * Internet Archive * Feedburner URL * LOTS OF PRESS RELEASES * Google Video listing * Wikipedia User Page * Myspace Profile
This is my no means scientific, but by comparing all three there are some interesting conclusions that could be drawn or at least hypothesized about. You would of course need a lot more test data, to make any concrete, but here are some interesting comparisons. Analysis on searching for a persons name or first name, last name searches
Commonalities among all 3:
* my personal website to be the most important / relevant (yahoo liked the personal website of the other solomon rothman more) * individual Google Video Listings were included in the top results
Individual Relevancy Preferences MSN
* Values both topic related and general Profile and user pages on large established websites and social networks over other results. * Wikipedia pages including user pages * Link Directories
It's interesting that it brings up my wikiusername page on the first page results, this is just a free user page used to let editors I may be working with know more about me.
Yahoo
* Specific Articles (as opposed to the profile pages at article submission or promotion sites) * Deep pages within personal website * Internet Archive Listings (put them above Google Video) * Listings and tag entries on technorati.com (blog search engine with listings and tags)
Google
* Highly values profile pages on topical sites like (designfirms.org) * Myspace * Wikinews items rank very high * Internet Archive Video Listings appear EXTRMELEY high * Individual Video Listing from other video distribution websites like bolt, and vivemo. * feed burner urls * press releases
Individual Dislikes or things that seen to rank substantially lower specifically on these engines MSN
* Doesn't rank press releases very high in results for a person's name, puts them after profile pages, and directories. * Listings and tag entires on technorati.com (blog search engine with listings and tags) none show up in the top 100.
Yahoo
* Wikipedia Items (not one listing in the top 100, as opposed to msn, (in top 10) and Google in top 30
Google # listings and tag entries on technorati.com
Remember that I use my real name as my username and repeat it specifically on the about me pages etc of each of these websites, that I'm sure obviously if you don't use your first name or last name on these sites, they won't come up.
Interesting things to note:
In the top 50 resutls of MSN was included my user page on the social bookmarking system delicious solomonrothman .
That's EXTREMELY intesting because in the meta tags on that page say no index, no follow and no archive:
It appears msn is not only indexing this page, but ranking it above other information rich sites for certain keywords.
YET ANOTHER REASON TO start SOCIAL BOOKMARKING.
Interesting trends applicable to all searches Video in regular search results
Video listings, especially on Google Video and the Internet Archive are showing up for regular keyword searches that don't use the word video, movie, etc. It appears all the search engines consider topic specific videos (at least the video listing pages) to be as relevant as regular information / text rich websites. A great example is search Google for Helicopter fire California. Thinking the "old way" I would guess this search to bring up news articles using those keywords, and it does for some of the results.
In the first 15 entires there are 3 separate references to a video file I uploaded showing a helicopter drop over a fire in California. 2 separate entries for various listing on archive.org and another listing for the Google video listing.
This is very powerful and although it may have been prominent in the past, I don't remember bringing up very many video listings on my normal searches, but things are changing, video is becoming the new sought-after relevant content in the online arena.
My space is a very powerfully free resource(other social networks are too) Even without any additional promotion (outside links for example) my myspace account ranked among the top sites in for my name in both MSN and Google. That's huge. If you want to put some information on the top spots for a name search and don't have a lot of time/budget/knowledge to undergo an SEO campaign, consider joining myspace and using your real first and last name.
You could have your personal page among the top spots in a matter of weeks. Of course if your name is extremely common, this tactic probably won't work. No luck for John Smith.
Wikipedia is a great place to contribute information As an extra bonus you may receive some Search Engine Recognition for it
Articles are still a great way to promote yourself and there are some great places that will even pay you for your published articles and still link to your site.
I admit it, I search for my name a lot.

Are Link Exchanges Dead?

Link exchanges used to be a great way to increase your Page Rank and gain a better position in Google. However times are changing and now this method has become less effective. Now it will no longer help you with popularity but will still gain targeted visitors to your site.

Why has this method of promotion gone out of favor? The main reason is the excessive spamdexing that webmasters indulged in. This is a fancy name for blatantly trying to cheat the search engines. These cheaters especially targeted Google as Page Rank lays heavy emphasis on popularity and links to your site. Here are a few ways that web masters tried to cheat the search engines:

- Buying many of them to falsely raise popularity.
- Collecting them (farms)
- Exchanging with anybody and everybody just to gain popularity
- Making dozens of small websites that will join with your main one and give a false view of your popularity.

Link exchanges can still be an effective way to get targeted traffic to your site. However there are a few points to remember.

1. Always choose websites that will be good resources for your visitors. They will be ones that are complimentary to your business.
2. Never join websites that have huge collections from anywhere and everywhere or collect these yourself. These websites are known as farms and can actually get your site banned by Google. Because of their vast number they will not bring you any traffic, as you will just get lost in the crowd.
3. Never choose random websites. These will not bring you good traffic and can even make your Page Rank drop with Google.
4. Make sure you exchange links with quality websites. This is important for your own business reputation and Page Rank with Google.
5. Categorize the URLs so that there are no more than 10 to a page. This will be fair to your partners as visitors can find them easily and use them as valuable resources.

As you can see link exchanges are not dead. You just need to adapt to get the best possible use out of them. They will not affect your popularity much but as you can see might affect your Page Rank due to the type of websites you are partnering with. With these few points you can still gain targeted traffic and sales by using this method of promotion wisely.

Add Links With Forum Posting

The difference between search engine optimization(seo) and search engine marketing(sem) is money. Optimization is the art of getting ranked high in the organic(free) listings of a major search engine for the keywords for want. This provides free very targeted traffic to your website. Search engine marketing is paying not placements in a major search engine.

Search engine optimization can be broken down into 2 pieces building quality content for the keywords you are targeting and getting quality, related websites to link to that content. This article is focused on getting quality, related websites to link to your website. After all, you can have all of the quality content on a subject you want, but if no one links to it it will not rank well in a search engine. Getting ranked high for certain keywords in your industry, will bring you continual targeted traffic. This is a vital part of an overall marketing approach for any internet business. This effects the bottom line directly because it reduces the spending you need to do to get traffic.

Posting in forums is arguably the best way to pay for your hosting (you post, host gets money form forums ads), just make sure that you don't need to post everyday only to maintain your account. Subsidy from paid accounts might be cool, but you need to be aware of constant attempt for conversion from free to paid account.

Posting in forums isn't only helpful in generating traffic through links, it's a two way street, whereby you get to meet and hopefully help readers resolve their unresolved issues. If you cannot resolve the issue first hand, you can steer them in the right direction by sharing links to sites that have helped you in the past.

Joining online communities and posting in forums is a great way for you to start networking and talking about your business without the pressure of in-person networking. Forums give you the chance to prove yourself as a knowledgeable person in your field, and as a respected member of the community. Additionally, the high traffic nature of forums make them natural candidates for frequent Googlebot visits, which boosts the PageRank of your site as well as provides some indirect marketing for you.

Now let's talk about online discussion forums. Not only is the traffic targeted, but if you take the time to analyze your site statistics, you will find that this type of traffic will spend longer on your webpages than other types of traffic.

A name that goes unmatched when it comes to service, depth of knowledge and of course help. You will often notice for yourself that the best forums are really those where the members are passionate about the subject the forum deals with, are successful themselves or at least very enthusiastic about what they do and there is this inherent energy about seeing everyone out there reach the pinnacle of success.

Another way is to provide higher search engine rankings and higher adsense revenue is by forum posting. This technique is most profitable for ranking high in Google. It is a good idea to link many other sites that are related to your subject as you can. You will find that some websites have achieved their top rankings with the help of links from forums and messageboards. So the idea is to find some high quality forums or message boards related to your industry and try to keep posting there. So whenever you post in forums you can post your links in the signature which can help your website to top rank in the search engines.

More About What Backlinks Can Do For Your Site

If you've read anything about or studied Search Engine Optimization, you've come across the term "backlink" at least once. For those of you new to SEO, you may be wondering what a backlink is, and why they are important. Backlinks have become so important to the scope of Search Engine Optimization, that they have become some of the main building blocks to good SEO.

Backlinks are links that are directed towards your website. Also knows as inbound links (IBL's). The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website. Backlinks are important for SEO because some search engines, especially Google, will give more credit to websites that have a good number of quality backlinks, and consider those websites more relevant than others in their results pages for a search query.

A Backlink (or inbound link, IBL) is a link from someone else's website to your own. Backlinks are one of the most important things to acquire if you want your website to list high in search engines.

These backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page and enable you to keep track of other pages on the web that link to your website. The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page. In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a website (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another website. Backlinks are also called incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links.

The principle behind a backlink is very simple. The better your website is, the more people want to create a link to it. Over time, your website will likely acquire backlinks from other sites, especially if you have good content.

Another reason to achieve quality backlinks is to entice visitors to come to your website. You can't build a website, and then expect that people will find your website without pointing the way. You will probably have to get the word out there about your site. One way webmasters got the word out used to be through reciprocal linking.

There is much discussion in these last few months about reciprocal linking. In the last Google update, reciprocal links were one of the targets of the search engine's latest filter. Many webmasters had agreed upon reciprocal link exchanges, in order to boost their site's rankings with the sheer number of inbound links. In a link exchange, one webmaster places a link on his website that points to another webmasters website, and vice versa. Many of these links were simply not relevant, and were just discounted. So while the irrelevant inbound link was ignored, the outbound links still got counted, diluting the relevancy score of many websites. This caused a great many websites to drop off the Google map.

A backlink from a site that has quality content is reffered as quality backlinks or relevant backlinks. Relevant backlinks will hold you in a much better stead than a back link coming from a poorly designed or optimized site or from a site that has nothing to do with the theme of your site. The major search engines such as google see incoming links from relevant sites, and give them more rank compared a backlink from an unrelated site. For example, if you have a website about web design products, your link strategy should target web design related sites.

Many webmasters have more than one website. Sometimes these websites are related, sometimes they are not. You have to also be careful about interlinking multiple websites on the same IP. If you own seven related websites, then a link to each of those websites on a page could hurt you, as it may look like to a search engine that you are trying to do something fishy. Many webmasters have tried to manipulate backlinks in this way and is referred to as backlink bombing.
