    The Money Window for Blogging

Even if you are new to the internet and internet marketing you have surely heard or read about the blogging craze that is happening on the internet. People blog for many reasons ranging from personal journal entries, political impetus, information aggregation, and customer research and last but not least for money. Many people today are making a healthy income by using blogging as a means to develop income. If you are new to making money online or even if you are an experienced internet marketer there exists at this time an amazing window of opportunity for people to make money using blogs.

Let's start by explaining why blogs are the latest craze in the internet world. In the not to distant past the only way someone could have "real estate" on the World Wide Web was to own a website. In order to create a website one either needed to learn how to use programs such as Dream Weaver to create a website or hire someone else to build it for you. Either way you would have to spend time and money to create a space on the web. Google and some other companies changed all of this when they made programs such as Blogger, making it easy for anyone to own a piece of "real estate" on the web. Even my off line father could get online and go to Blogger and create a blog for our family. If my father can create a blog, anyone can go onto the web and now create a space where they can generate revenue from the internet.

Not only are blogs easy to set up and start but they are also loved by search engines due to their dynamic nature. Search engines understand that blogs are constantly being updated with new and pertinent information. They consider this to be time sensitive information so they visit and index a blog each time there is a new post. This makes it much easier for a blog to get listed in the search results which means more traffic for your blog.

If you aren't using blogs to create money for you online, now is the time to act. Below I will explain just a couple of ways people are making money with blogs.

Sell Advertisements on your Blog: This is probably the most common way to generate income from your blog. After you create a blog and post to it regularly your blog will start climbing up the search engine ranking bringing you traffic. If you place advertisements on your blog you will be able to capitalize on the advertisements. You can advertise using programs such as Goggles Adsense. Google Adsense works especially well for niche blogs.

One way that you can pick a profitable subject to blog about is by doing some keyword research. First make a list of topics that you are interested in blogging about. With your list go to Overture's Bid Tool and see what people are paying for ads based around your keyword. Pick your blog topic by finding the keyword with the highest bid amount. This will give you an idea of how much money you can make from your Adsense campaign on your blog.

Help Others Sell Products: Affiliate programs allow you to become the middle man between a product and the customer. Look at affiliate directories such as Commission Junction and Clickbank to find products related to your blog that you can sell directly on your blog. Most affiliates pay a generous commission every time you sell one of their products. It's very easy to refer people to an affiliate product on your blog and if you present it correctly you will be surprised at how many products you will sale.

Above I've listed only two ways you can start generating money from your blog but there are many other ways to use blogs to generate income and page ranking. The time to look into blogging is now. There is an open window of opportunity for the non-experienced and experienced internet marketer to make money using blogs. Even if you are new to the internet and internet marketing you have surely heard or read about the blogging craze that is happening on the internet.

How a Blog Helps Your Website's SE Rank

Adding content to a website in general can help improve it's rank in search engines like Google, so it follows that having the ability to add content - and web pages - fast is a great feature for your website. Blogs make it simple to add content to websites, making it easy for you to improve your website's search rank.

You'll need to choose which blog program to use on your website, and fortunately you can get some extremely high quality blogs for absolutely free from open source websites. B2Evolution is a great blogging program, and so is Wordpress. Wordpress is the most popular choice, and it has many plugins you can grab for free as well, and the installation and updates are a breeze.

If you choose Wordpress, be sure to download and install an SEO plugin that helps you optimize your blog posts. Using this little tool will help your search engine rank tremendously.

Add content to your blog regularly. The more often you blog, the higher your rank will be in a shorter period of time. You definitely want to update your blog at least once per week, as well as create some links from your blog to your website using anchor words.

Every time you add a blog post, attach related categories, and be sure they are named after your keywords. Attach tags using the same guidelines, and fill out the title, keywords, and description in your SEO plugin.

This is where it gets good: Every tag and every category is a unique, automatically generated web page that's updated every time you attach it to a new blog post. By installing a blog, you create a way to easily and quickly add content and new optimized web pages to your website. The blog is a beautiful creature in the world of SEO. Add one now for free and watch your rank improve.

The beginning of blogs and blogging

Blogging, what is it? You've heard talk about blogging but are one of those people who don't quite understand what it is? That's all right, as we'll go over what a blog is, the history of blogs, what they are used for and why they are important to your online business.

What is a blog A blog is essentially like a journal where people can post their thoughts and have them read and commented on by anyone.

What is a blogger A blogger is someone who creates a blog and posts on it.

Brief history of blogs Weblogs, simply known as blogs now, haven't been around for that long. The roots of the blog can be traced back to 1994 when people kept online journals (diaries) in which they wrote about things in their life.

Our current blog has been around for an even shorter period of time. In 1998, Open Diary created a site in which its users could post blogs that had the ability to be commented on by other people.

The popular free blogging site called Blogger was created in 1999 by Evan Williams and Meg Hourihan. Blogger was later purchased by Google in 2003.

Despite the fact that blog sites have been in existence since 1998, they have only been popular for 5 or 6 years. In 2001, how-to-blog manuals were published and the phenomenon has only taken off since that point.

What are blogs used for? In the very beginning, blogs were usually used to talk about a person's life. People would make blog posts about things happening in their life, thus using the blog as a public journal.

Over time, the use of the blog evolved. People began using the blog to post their opinions about everything from politics to religion to sports to music, among other things.

Nowadays, blogs are even used to make money--one 20-year-old makes $5,000 from Google per month because he has Google Ads on his blog. Businesses have also begun to effectively use blogs for their own purposes.

Why are blogs important to your online business? Millions of people from all over the world read blogs every day. Those who have a blog are given a lot of exposure--there is the potential for them to have millions of unique readers each day.

Can you imagine having a million people see your business' name each day? That sounds pretty incredible, doesn't it? Yet, that's exactly what could happen if you create and maintain a successful, well-read blog. And that's actually a pretty easy thing to do.

So how exactly can you use the blog to help your online business? Well, you can use it in a variety of ways. You could:
    * Use the blog to discuss things related to your field of business. For instance, if your business provides web hosting services, you could discuss things related to web hosting, thus showing potential customers how much of a guru you are.
    * Let your employers have their own blogs to talk about your services/products. The more active blogs that reference your business, the more exposure you'll get.
    * Use your business blog to keep current customers updated on new services/products available.
    * Post news about your business, as well as start rumors about potential happenings in your online business.
    * Get feedback from current and potential customers on your products/services. For instance, you could make a post on a new product, giving details about it. Then your existing customers or potential customers could give their opinion on it.
    * Promote your online business on your blog by making blog posts with information on what your business offers.
    * Install AdSense on your blog and make extra revenue from ads clicked, thereby helping your business to be more profitable.

There are really a lot of possibilities to how you can use a blog to help your business, even more than those listed here. Blogs that are hosted on your site (by using a program like WordPress) can help your site achieve a higher ranking in search engines. This is because blogs are search engine friendly (Google is known to list them after only a few days, whereas it takes regular web sites weeks to appear on a search engine). Having a high search engine ranking is crucial to having a successful online business. Blogs help you to increase your ranking, which will increase your business.

The great thing about blogs is that they are easy to use and also very effective. Start a blog today and watch your business' notoriety grow.

Find more about blog carnivals to increase online traffic

paragraph about the particular blog entry submission he has received with a link to read the full article on the submitting blog owners blog, or he writes about a general topic and places the link to all the particular blogs underneath so that his visitors can go read the information they are looking for.

Benefits of submitting your blog entry to a blog carnival

There are huge lists of blog carnivals available covering every possible niche with new carnivals being added on a regular basis. As already mentioned these carnivals are hosted by high traffic blogs in that particular niche.

This means by submitting the permalink to one of your own blog entries to one of these carnivals you get a free one-way link (some blog carnivals require a back link, but these are the exceptions rather than the rule) back to your own blog. This one-way link is also a deep link to one of your specific entries and this is even better than a simple back link to your homepage.

All this translates into a boosted page rank on Google, which obviously means more visitors from the major search engines. Further you get to capitalize on the visitors of the blog hosts’ blog. Some of these blogs receive hundreds of thousands of visitors each month that will all see the post with the more precious than gold back link to your very own website or blog. The really good blogs that have a big amount of newsletter subscribers will even e-mail the particular post (or carnival) to their subscribers sending even more interested visitors to your own little corner of the internet.

Probably the biggest benefit of blogging carnivals is that they are FREE! That’s right, all this promotion for your website and all these targeted visitors will not cost you a single penny.

A blog carnival is an extremely fast way to gain lots of targeted visitors to content that webmasters have to offer as submission takes only about 60 seconds. No extra work is required for writing separate articles to submit to these carnivals because of their permalinking structure. So you get to spend most of your time creating good quality content for your visitors to enjoy on your own site and just link up to these brilliant web pages you have created via the particular blog carnival you are participating in.

If all this is not a win-win situation that you feel you absolutely must grab hold of with both hands and even both feet if you can, than you do not really want a flood of visitors to your website and if this is not the case then what are you doing on the internet…

Blogs Are Your Internet Marketing Secret Weapon

These days, blogs are among the most important secret weapons that internet marketers can employ. They are a terrific way to have opinions stated in an un-moderated and public place, where ideas and insights can be shared among everyone who wishes to read them.

For internet marketing, blogging builds credibility for the website through the many opinions and ideas that are shared there. The company, and its bloggers, become recognized by their readers as a resource for useful information. Therefore, people will not only visit once, but will return again and again to find out what else is new.

Blogging itself is an extremely inexpensive, quick, and simple way to reach out to thousands of website visitors. It draws people who are in your direct target market, making relationship building a much more natural process once that visitor takes their use of your website one step further and makes a purchase of whatever product or service you are selling - and have been covering in your blog.

Blogs make you an expert in your field. That's right, with the right researching and writing skills (or with a skilled writer and researcher in your employ) then you can become an expert in your field as far as your website blog is concerned. To be an expert, all you need to do is keep up with the latest in your industry within your blog posts, and maintain it regularly.

To make sure that you're headed in the right direction with your blog, check up on other website blogs in your industry to see what they have posted. Naturally, this doesn't mean that you should be posting the same things as your competition. In fact, that is among the worst things that you can do. Certainly, you're allowed to share an opinion now and then, but your blog will need to stand out if it is to be taken seriously. If you are simply reiterating what others are already saying, then you will be seen as old news, and will be overlooked in favor of the original thinkers.

To start your own blog on your website, you need to have the right tools in place. Blogger and Blogware are only examples of the many different options that are available to you.

When you post on your blog, make sure that you're doing it because you have something to say, and not because it's time to post. Your blog posts need to be interesting if you are to keep a steady readership. If you're not interested in what you're writing then the odds are that your visitors won't be interested in what they're reading.

To keep up the interest, don't take yourself too seriously. Of course you are allowed to write about serious and important topics in your industry and about your products, but you can also include some trivia and humorous commentaries that directly or indirectly relate to your blog topic and will amuse your readers. This is perfectly acceptable in blog posting and is, in fact, encouraged. It allows the readers to feel that they have made a real "contact" with you, and that you take a real joy in what you do.

Blogs aren't just good for creating regular visitors to your website, but they are also quite beneficial for bringing in new visitors as well. You'll find that when you are writing about any given topic in your industry, you are using the words and terms that apply to your topic. As these words become more frequently used throughout your website, for example, within your recent and archived blog posts, search engine spiders will pick up on their use and may increase your ranking for those keywords.

To sum up, here is what you need to benefit from your blog:

    • The right blogging tools • The motivation and commitment to contribute regularly • Something relevant to say! • Some skill in writing - if you don't, hire someone who does • Some knowledge in your industry - if you don't, hire someone who can research this information • Some perspective, not just vague ramblings

If you have these, you're all set to start taking advantage of what blogging can contribute to your internet marketing strategy. These days, blogs are among the most important secret weapons that internet marketers can employ. They are a terrific way to have opinions stated in an un-moderated and public place, where ideas and insights can be shared among everyone who wishes to read them.

Ten SEO Tricks to Your Blog

Just a website that uses a content management system. While most blog software is more search engine friendly out of the box than many web sites, the opportunities for blog optimization are readily available.

Here are 10 tricks that will increase your visibility in search engines and eventually drive more traffic to your blog.

    1) Use keywords in your blog post titles - This is a given for SEO. Most blogging software uses the post title as the url so take advantage of it.

Example: "10 SEO Tricks to Attract More Traffic to your Blog - Search Engine Journal" Search Engine Journal is included on every blog post title tag automatically.

    2) Optimize your blog categories - When you create categories for your blog, be sure to use keywords in the titles. When you post, be sure to default to a general category that is relevant no matter what the post is about. Choose multiple categories on each post when appropriate. This will create a "SEO-friendly" url for each post you make.

    3) Syndicate your blog - Make it easy for people to subscribe to your blog. Sign-up with a free service like Feedburner and then create a "syndication" area on your site.

    4) Offer RSS to email. Anywhere from 10% to 40% of your blog traffic can come from individuals that perfer to read blog posts via email. RSS readers and aggregators can be confusing. Adding email services to your blog isn't. There are several free services available for this including: FeedBlitz, Squeet, and Zookoda.

    5) Ping blog search engines - This can be configured with blog software such as Movable Type or WordPress to work automatically. If you're using Blogger.com, then you can do this manually with Pingomatic.com or Pingoat.com.

    6) Make comments on other blogs. Your name will be linked to the blog url that you enter. Don't make comments that offer no value to the blog post. Don't use keywords in the field for your name, use your name or blog name.

    7) Submit your blog directories. Also submit the blog to regular directories such as (DMOZ, JoeAnt, GoGuides, Google Blog Search, etc) that have categories for blogs.

    8) Targeted advertising - Now this doesn't really drive traffic to your site but will make you money. It's possible by using Google AdSense to display highly targeted ads on your blog. Once you've setup an account and placed the ads on your site, just sit back and watch the cash come in. Cha-ching.

    9) Snatch up hot keywords - Now before you place ads on your blog, be sure your keyword density is good for the right terms. A great tool to improve your traffic for high-paying keywords is to use a product called Keyword Elite

    10) Use track backs - If there is a blog that you refer to or quote and it is highly relevant to your subject, leave a track back. It increases your link popularity and may even score a few interested readers from the linked site. A TrackBack is a mechanism used in a blog to show, around an entry, a list of other blogs that refer to it.

Summary The important thing to remember is that no matter how many optimization tactics you employ with a blog, there is no substitute for quality content. Blog optimization is only as effective as the quality and usefulness of the content you're optimizing. So do not limit yourself to tips and lists. Use your imagination and you will come up with thousands of ways to drive traffic to your blog! As fancy as the term "blog" sounds, it's actually just a website that uses a content management system. While most blog software is more search engine friendly out of the box than many web sites, the opportunities for blog optimization are readily available. As fancy as the term "blog" sounds, it's actually just a website that uses a content management system. The Search Engine Algorithms: It Has Always Been A Cat And Mouse Game

I remember ten years ago when we were designing websites for our clients that we used to play around with the keywords, descriptions and a variety of content related methods to help our customer get a high ranking on Yahoo. In some cases we were successful enough that not only were all the pages indexed, but they would come up consecutively.

Undoubtedly, everything has changed over the past 10 years, but the question still remains the same. Why would we spend so much time trying to beat the search engine algorithms? The answer is very simple, we are all trying to make a living, earn money, support our customers and insure their success. There is indeed one assumption in this writing. That is to say the website we are talking about are regular business websites. Not scams, not fraudulent services, not spam websites. Nothing of the sort, just everyday normal business websites.

The Internet by its very electronic nature has introduced the idea of lower cost marketing, more efficient marketing, measured marketing, and broader marketing. Naturally, a business would indeed seek these methods to get new and more business. Considering most businesses are small business, we run into the issue of not enough time in the day to do the work and certainly not enough money to outsource the work either. You can read "Internet Marketing and the Small Business" article at the URL provided at the end for reference.

Over the years the Big 3 - not automotive - but search engines Google, MSN and Yahoo have continually tried to provide better quality responses to visitors searching the web for information. A noble idea and certainly much faster than the early days of "Archie" and "Veronica" searching. They have introduced a variety of methods in this quest with the algorithms. As the algorithms change, well so do the tactics of Internet marketers and webmasters. The tactics follow some general rules - how do we circumvent the algorithms for the success of our clients and most notably, how do we make it easier, faster, more efficient.

This cat and mouse game can be best exemplified using "Links" that have become such a crucial part of ranking and popularity. In the early days it was simple, exchange links with other websites and the more websites with your link the more popular your site and therefore the higher your ranking. How tough can that be? Everyone is now chasing link exchanges; however, the process is time consuming. Not only to get the link exchange, but then to ultimately get more traffic to make money "now" (not tomorrow) is taking time too.

First request for the link exchange, then wait to get a confirmation, then add their link to your site, send a confirmation, wait for the response that your link is now on their site and finally confirm the link. Having done all that, let us not forget to check every 30 days that the link exchange still exists at the other website. Therefore, we need to know the exact url of our link on the other website and keep track of all this information using....well...something besides hard copy.

Along come services to make this process easier. This would include software and web based services. These services allow you to process the link exchange simpler and even go as far as creating the link web page for you and uploading the web page to your server. There was still one aspect that was not addressed with these services and that is the time to complete the link exchange. In some cases you're waiting 30 - 60 days. We certainly are not willing to wait this long to start making money.

Services now took the process even a step further and link farms are created. Register your site and put their code on your web page(s). Voila, you have instant link exchanges and the time for the process has been eliminated. Now it was strictly waiting for the search engines to index the information.

As you can imagine, this did not sit well with the search engines, especially Google. The next step is to modify the algorithms to identify link farms and other "un-naturally" occurring links. Yep, the issue of naturally occurring links was emphasized. You cannot have too many too quickly. You cannot use link farms. Your links have to be related to your industry. Inbound only links have a higher value than reciprocal link exchanges. More rules, regulations and policies being imposed upon the business, however, each of these rules bring about the next creativity, specifically about inbound only links.

The idea of selling text links on already high ranking websites emerges. Websites sell the text links directly or you can use brokers. Not only can you purchase the text links, but even within a single website you can have choices of how much to pay based the ranking of a particular page. You can spend a few dollars per month, pay mid-range between $25 - $50 or above $100.

Absolutely amazing how many sub-industries were created from the link exchange process. All the rules, regulations and policies in an effort to make for the search engines to provide more quality information to searchers and for website owners to make more money faster. What a circle-jerk!

The latest development, as you can imagine, is the purchase of text links is now going to be frowned upon and your site rankings will be down graded. Unfortunately, I cannot say that the search engines will do a good job of identifying purchased links versus legitimate advertising links. Nonetheless, whatever they do identify and however they decide to identify this it will hurt you.

So, the cat and mouse game continues. Link exchanges will probably not have a significant value in the long run. Inbound links will be scrutinized and these new sub-industries will refocus upon the next service they can provide to help website owners make money and do so faster.

Do you see where this is going? It will never end. The search engines will create impositions. The process will become more complicated. In the early days it was Meta Tags, then Link Exchanges. Now we're looking for content, authority websites, landing pages, comment tags, header tags, image ALT descriptions, Anchor Titles. It really does not make a difference. The search engines can throw out any rule, regulation or policy and there will always be a way around the "system". After all we are in the electronic medium and there is nothing that a computer cannot do that money and time cannot buy! I remember ten years ago when we were designing websites for our clients that we used to play around with the keywords, descriptions and a variety of content related methods to help our customer get a high ranking on Yahoo. In some cases we were successful enough that not only were all the pages indexed, but they would come up consecutively. Why would we spend so much time trying to beat the search engine algorithms?

Don't Hurt Your Rankings: Common Mistakes Made by Companies

Search engine optimization and even pay per click campaigns will surely be around for quite a while. Perhaps this is because they still remain two of the best strategies to obtain the most ideal search engine position for your website. However, because the results may take some time, there are a number of companies that unknowingly or deliberately "sabotage" their own SEO and PPC campaign. In the end, they have to suffer the consequences of their actions, which may be a decrease in their ranking and traffic or, worse, getting banned from search engines.

Where You Can Go Wrong There are two types of mistakes a company may make in relation to SEO or PPC. First, there are a number of business website owners who actually don't have much idea about the technique that their demands are contrary to the best practices of SEO. On the other hand, there are also others who pretend they already know SEO and perform some tricks and changes that will only damage what they've started. So watch out for the following errors:

    1. You make some updates on your site. You may ask yourself, "What's the harm of doing this? Wouldn't it be a very clever thing to do, knowing that you're saving your SEO company some time and energy?" You may have a point, but your actions may compromise whatever plans the SEO company may have for your site. Worse, your actions may spell a destructive process for you. Here are some possible scenarios: You decided that you want to add another content in your website, perhaps some news or press release about your newest product or service. Hence, because you thought that it doesn't hurt if you'll do this by yourself, you went on with your plan without consulting your SEO company. Unknown to you, however, you already have altered the tricks and codes that may have been used by the SEO firm so you can rank highly. You may have modified the right keyword density for your site. The bottom line is you could lower down your search engine ranking.

There could also be a time when you wanted to create a new link for your site. However, you've forgotten to make proper redirection for the URL. Thus, what you have is a broken link, which makes it very difficult for search engine spiders to crawl and index the pages of your website.

In the end, SEO companies would take the blame for the client's wrongdoings. To avoid getting misjudged, though, they would often monitor the performance of the site of their client, take note of the changes, and contact the webmaster right away. This is to prevent any bad consequences or to make the necessary repairs before the website suffers tremendous loss.

    2. You want some change, but you don't want to make any modifications. This can be one of the most difficult aspects for SEO companies. There are a lot who want to make sure that they can rank highly in search engines and send traffic into their webpages. However, they don't want to make any type of modification for them to achieve these objectives. Here are examples:

Keywords and keyword density are two important elements in a website. You want to drive targeted customers into your website. These are people that would likely buy your product or avail of your service. However, you don't want to make any changes in your articles and content. You don't like to identify the most effective keywords, and you don't maintain the most ideal keyword density. There are also a number of website owners who still believe that Flash and other forms of animation can drive traffic into their website. This could be true; however, what make these Flash sites searchable in search engines are their contents. You cannot simply depend on your animation. As a matter of fact, they make it very difficult for search engine spiders to index your Flash page. After all, they can only read text files. Moreover, they make the site very difficult to download. Flash files are known to be really heavy. Ethical SEO companies are usually very blunt about the right way to do things. And they wouldn't mind letting go of a client who will not likely listen to what the firm has to say about their website.

    3. You apply your own techniques. Unless you're a certified SEO guru, you should avoid performing your own SEO tricks. First of all, it becomes an extremely difficult job for an SEO company to make the necessary repairs. Second, by the time they try to change what has been done, your website may already be suffering from a loss of ranking.

If you don't like to get yourself hurt, allow the professionals to do their job and take care of these aspects.

7 Basic tips to Optimize your Own blog posts

How to Optimize your Own blog posts both for your readers and search engines? Is it really possible to prepare an 'Optimal blog posts for search bots and online visitors?

The answer is 'Yes'. You may often find some considering 'Search spiders', some considering 'Visitors' as most important. But according to me, both readers (online visitors) and search engines are important for your blog. The visitors are more important because readers indirectly help your blog posts to appear in first or second Search engine result pages by linking to your own blog. Also do not ignore the search bots too because visitors are sent in bulk by the search engines, after the search query is being made. So always try to keep a balance between these two - readers and search engines. Make your best efforts to optimize both for your readers and search engines.

Here are some key aspects to see your blog right at the top.

    1. Focus on quality content:

Good and quality content is the basic key. Nothing much can be achieved without having relevant content. So how to create quality content for your blog posts?

Quality content is the king. If you don't produce interesting, unique and quality posts, no one will ever visit your blog site. It's is very simple. More readers - More links - Rank in 1st or 2nd Search engine result pages.

Optimizing blogs (by following basic Search engine optimization techniques) will help you to rank in first or second search engine result pages and ultimately get more and more traffic for your blog site.

So just focus on generating quality content.

    2. Research keywords and keyword phrases to optimize you blog:

Your blog post title should include the main keywords in it. Combine main, semi-competitive keywords for your blog title. Keyword research is needed before considering the 'best and unique' keywords for your blog posts. For keyword research you can use best keyword research tools like Goodkeywords.com ( http://www.goodkeywords.com ) , Overture ( http:// inventory.overture.com ) etc. Get the potential keywords and keyword phrases to optimize your blog. Do not go for highly-competitive keywords. Choose semi-competitive and low competitive keywords initially.

    3. Use search engine friendly URL's

Always use search engine friendly URL's. I feel very irritated when I see blog Url's like http://www.profitimo.com/Blogs/tabid/84/Default.aspx..Does this URL give you any idea about what this is regarding? People intentionally commit such mistakes knowing the fact that it is NOT a Search engine Friendly! The url should be some what like this "blogdomain.com/articles/name of the blog.aspx". If your system allows you to choose a search-engine friendly URLs, by all means, set it up! Or perhaps while choosing a blog provider that has this feature.

Use keywords to your blog Url. Use the blog post title as the permalink. Adding keywords to blog urls acts as a real booster to search engine rankings. Using keywords in the blog post title will occur as anchor text in the permanent post link. This is one of the best SEO tips to help your blogs and blog site rank better and drive traffic each single day.

    4. Submit your Blog:

Submit your blog to RSS, Blog directories, and Regular directories. Ping the major RSS feed and Blog search engines. For examples Google blog search, Digg, technorati etc.

    5. Use headers to Highlight the main elements.

Bold and highlight the sub-titles and major keywords in the blog. The heading tags h1, h2 etc also help the search engines bots decide what the post is all about and rank them accordingly. Put your main keywords between the header tags. Highlighting the MAIN points on the blog helps your online readers to have a glance on it..in case they do not want to read the whole post due to lack of time. Moreover the search engines spiders consider 'Bold and highlighted' points very important. So this is a very useful tip to optimize your blog both for your readers and the search engines.

    6. Always Pingback and send trackback:

Make sure that your blog software (wordpress,blogger.com etc) is configured to send a trackback ping to blogs that you cite within your posts. This is better for driving traffic than for link popularity. Make useful comments on other blogs. Your name will be linked to the blog url that you enter. Do not comment on other posts that offer no value to the blog post. Avoid using keywords in the field for your name, use your name or blog name. This is another great way to generate more and more traffic to your blogs and blog site.

    7. Use Cascading style sheets in your blog:

Use Cascading style sheets in your blog template if possible. Use light designs to load faster. Do not use excessive Java scripts texts like "Widgets". Avoid using unnecessary use of "widgets' (I mean which are not important for your site). Having a large number of JavaScripts can slow down your site. Search engines too cannot read Java script links and texts. This is another good way to optimize blogs for visitors and search bots.

Make all best-possible efforts to market and promote your blog posts. Optimizing blogs is not a hard task. Just keep the above optimizing tips in your mind and implement them when and where necessary. Get stunner free traffic to you blog by the above proven strategies.

Things That can Hurt the Search Engine Rankings of Your Website

It's been five years since I have been practicing and providing consultancy on all matters related to SEO and internet marketing. And in all these years I have come across numerous website owners who do all type of things that hurt their site's rankings in the search engines.

Following is the list of some of the common SEO mistakes made by the site owners and some of the so called SEO experts:

1.Selection of Keywords - The first and probably the worst mistake the website owners usually make is the selection of keywords for their site. I have seen clients who will just look to target high traffic keywords without giving any thought to whether these keywords actually match with the website's theme. And some will choose keywords which are extremely competitive and then expect to rank on those keywords within a month's time.

2.Under Optimized and Over Optimized Titles - Title tag is probably the most important SEO technique that you can do on-page. It is always recommended to put your targeted keywords in the Title tag. But in trying to put keywords in the Title tag some website owners and SEO practitioners stuff this tag with more than one instances of the same or similar keyword, which is wrong. I have also seen cases wherein all the site pages have exactly the same Title tag, which is an absolute disaster talking from search engine's point of view.

3.Same Metas on Every Page - One other commonly made mistake is keeping all the Meta description and Meta keywords tag same for all the pages on the site. Each page should have page specific and keyword targeted Meta tags.

4.Search Engine Unfriendly Redirects - There are many times when a site's page URL changes due to change to dynamic platform or change in directory structure and there is a need to redirect the old URLs to new URLs. But the mistake website owners usually make is, they generally 302 redirect these URLs which is not a search engine friendly way of redirection. All old URLs should always be 301 permanently redirected to make the redirection search engine safe.

5.Insufficient Content - You must have heard the saying "Content is the King" and when it comes to SEO content is probably the God. And most website owners in trying to have an appealing and graphic rich website forget the importance of quality content.

6.Duplicate Content - One major issue most website owners are unaware of is the issue regarding duplicate content being present on several pages of the site. Each page of the site should have unique content.

7.Complete Flash Site - Flash is undoubtedly a great way of embedding images and graphics onto your site and sites made in Flash look pretty and appealing. But an all flash website is an absolute nightmare from search engine's point of view because at present there is no way search engine crawlers can read content inside a flash file. But that does not mean you can't use Flash on your site, rather than making the entire site as one big flash file, the best way is to break site pages in individual flash files and then embed these files in respective HTML pages. This will allow each page of your site to have it's own URL and then Flash optimization techniques can be used.

    Top 10 Common SEO Mistakes

Webmasters spend a lot of time and efforts on optimizing a website. They try different strategies to get higher search engine rankings for their website, but some of them fail to get desired results just because of some mistakes. In this article I have listed some common mistakes which should be avoided while optimizing a website as they may have adverse effect on your Search engine rankings:

    1. Keyword Stuffing: Putting the same keyword again and again or using hundred different spellings or tenses of the same keywords in your keyword meta tag is known as keyword stuffing and considered as spam by search engines. You must avoid it as it may harm your search engine rankings.

    2. Duplicate Content: Make sure to have some unique and informative content for users on all web pages, it must be related to your business. Having the same content on your different pages of website must be avoided as it may have an adverse effect on your search engine rankings.

    3. ALT Tags: Do not forget to add ALT tag while using images in your website. You can use your targeted keywords also in ALT tags. It makes your website accessible for search engine spiders.

    4. Framesets: Avoid using framesets as frames-based pages behave differently from standard Web pages, affecting essential Web functions like printing and navigation. search engines cannot index framesets.

    5. Navigation and internal linking: Proper navigation and internal linking is also matters a lot. Navigation menu should be easily accessible by users. Make sure that the anchor text linking to pages within your own website is relevant to the target page.

    6. Anchor Text of Inbound links: Having a lot of inbound links is not enough but the anchor text pointing to these links is also very important. The anchor text should be targeted to your main keywords and the web page they point to should have those keywords.

    7. Redirects: Redirect is used to re-route users from one URL to another and search engines consider it as you are trying to trick them. You must avoid it, if necessary then use only '301 redirect' which is the safest method to redirect.

    8. Cloaking: Cloaking is a technique used by some webmasters to display different pages to the search engine spiders than the ones normal visitors see. You should always avoid any form of cloaking as it strongly forbidden by most major search engines now.

    9. Over Optimisation: Over optimization shows that your site has been designed for search engines and not for users. It may drop your search engine rankings as search engines are now able to detect over optimized sites so you must avoid over optimization.

    10. Impatience: Search engine optimization requires a lot of patience. You must wait for few months for results after optimizing your website. Have a little patience and you will get your desired results if you properly optimized your website using ethical SEO techniques

Not Very Common SEO Mistakes Exposed

To succeed in search engine optimization you must do the right things, but do them right as well. So let us start with not so common mistake number one.

    Bad Linking.

Not linking to your linkspage using a text link. Many webmasters link to their linkspage, resources page or whatever you want to call it within a drop down menu, or using an image that links to the page.

Spiders cannot read through images and will not use the drop down menu to see what links it has. They read html source code, so those links will be ignored. Means also they will not get indexed.

    Creating several folders and webpages.

That is another mistake and it is confusing both for your visitors and search engines. Probably even for you. Create one folder called articles and put in all article pages, create one folder called images and put in all images inside. Everything organized is the key.

    Internal linking mistakes.

You have to decide, and I give you the best option. Either you are going to link to your website pages using the www or never using it at all. The best option is to use the www so never use the other option.

Spiders treat them as two different domains, and you do not want that to happen ever. So even when getting backlinks make sure you use always the same prefix. Google sitemaps, which are tools for webmasters doing seo, has a feature regarding this thing. Use it.

    Fixing problems.

The mistake results in waste of time. You read several forums, articles every day and you go fixing your mistakes. It is wrong, you cannot go fix every article you submitted to make the anchor text in the link something new.

Whatever you learn, you apply the next time. You cannot waste so much time. Assuming you are not doing something that can cause your website to get banned this applies to you. So please fix of course, if you are doing keyword stuffing or other really bad things.

    Blak Hat.

If you never heard that term, you are lucky. Almost all new webmasters who want to start seo fall in this trap. Black hat are strategies, tactics, software and so forth that try to cheat the search engines, in order to get top rankings. You cannot do that. Bad things can happen if you try it. Not only you can waste time trying but also money. Black hat software are very expensive.

The salespage can be full of hype of course since the promise is great. It attracts lots of visitors. Do not fall victim to blak hat seo.

Creating an introduction for your website that you have to click on skip to proceed or wait some 5 minutes.

Ok, you like it probably, but search engines do not like to see a flash or video presentation of your website. First of all they cannot see what you see, because they only look at your html code. Spiders simple see nothing. So basically you have a problem, and to solve it you have to remove the presentation completely. They want your content, your images and your text links on your homepage.

    Too many code.

If your website requires users to install plug ins, try to avoid that. If you have too many visitors counters, too many javascripts code, popups, popunders and other code on your website avoid it. Spiders want content, not code. Code confuses them. Use minimum required only.

If you notice, what converts your visitors into customers is also appreciated by search engine spiders. What your visitors hate even spiders hate. Your customers are the search engine customers as well. What you do to please spiders you are doing to please your visitors. In other words spiders are helping you create a website that your visitors will enjoy, because they will benefit from that.

So next time, think about these things, apply some of these and you start moving forward in the right direction.

SEO Blunders - Four mistakes to Avoid.

There are lots of articles giving you top tips about SEO. I've actually written a few myself.

However, what about the SEO pitfalls you should avoid?

I'm not talking about the various underhanded so called black hat SEO techniques but rather an innocent web development mistake that results in your website not getting indexed properly by the search engines.

Tale a look at many of the SEO forums and you will see many posts from frustrated website owners who can't understand why their site isn't being indexed.

It's easy to feel victimized and believe that the search engines have something against you and your site. Of course the truth is usually less sinister. They really want to index your site but they can't. It's usually something you've done that is stopping the spiders getting around your site and picking up all your pages. Chances are you don't realize that you've causes this problem.

The good news is that it's fixable. Your problem is most likely one of the ones listed below. So take heart and get ready to fix those SEO blunders.

    SEO Blunder One: Using Frames

Frames were very popular at one time and they allowed different parts of your web page to be independently scrollable

Unfortunately the spiders really struggle to find there way around a website that is using frames. There are ways you can fix a frame website to allow them to crawl but my personal advice is to redesign your site without frames.

    SEO Blunder Two: Using Flash

This is a very common question. Should I use Flash or not. Flash is popular because it looks really good. It gives a good impression to your visitors. It can look quite professional and can certainly have a "wow" factor.

However the problem with Flash is that the search engine spiders don't see it so none of your Flash content will get indexed. If you are using Flash for your menus then you have a real problem because the spiders can't follow the menus to the other pages.

I would suggest the following approach to Flash. Use it sparingly across your site where you really want to impress your visitors but make sure the pages you use it on are also rich in text content if you want them to get indexed and NEVER use Flash to build your menus.

    SEO Blunder Three: Java Script

Java Script cannot be seen by the spiders so you have the same issues as you have with Flash. I actually use Java on my own site for the horizontal menu across the top of the page. That's for you, the human visitor. However to help the search engines crawl my site, I have a menu down the left of the page that is just plain hyperlink text.

So use Java if you want to but make sure you have a good text link structure that the search engine spiders can follow.

    SEO Blunder Four: Broken Links

You would be amazed at how many sites have broken links and parts of the site are completely cut off from the spiders. It's important to check your site regularly for broken links. I have a few ways to check my site. One of my favorites is Xenu Link Sleuth. The software is free and does a great job at checking your site.

5 Link Popularity Exercises That Do Not Help Your Page Rank

After getting to know that link popularity is the most important factor that search engines consider when deciding your Pagerank, almost everyone has taken to posting their back links all over the internet. However, gaining credible link popularity that increases your page rank is really not as easy as it sounds and most people who do not know much about how Pagerank works keep creating text links that are either useless, or even harmful for their webpage. In order to make link popularity work for you, it is important to avoid the most common link building mistakes.

    1. Creating Links On Unrelated Pages. Search engines nowadays are smart enough to decipher whether your link is relevant to the users of the webpage that they are placed on or not. So if you are putting the text links of your webpages which are related to cooking on websites that deal with high end electronic goods, wrestling or real estate, you can be sure that these links will be trashed by the search engine, doing zilch for your Pagerank. So create links on sites that have related content. For example, if you have a cooking related website, placing links on home improvement, restaurant, recipe and kitchen equipment sites will be helpful.

    2. Creating Text Links That Proclaim," Click Here". Google search engine spiders use the text on your hyperlink to determine what your website is all about and this plays an important role in determining both your Pagerank as well as your search engine rankings. By putting hyperlinks that simply say " click here for more information" or "know more here", you are telling the search engines that your website is about clicking and knowing more and that is where you will be ranked high instead of getting high search engine rankings for your own domain. Make it a point to use relevant keywords in your text links.

    3. Creating Links On High Pagerank Pages That Already Have Hundreds Of Links. Yes, it is true that the higher the PR of a page linking to you, the higher will be the value assigned to the link by the search engines and the greater will be your page rank. This is because the value or points that you get from a page that links back to you is determined by the formula--page rank of linking page / number of links on that page. But it is equally important to pay attention to the denominator of the formula, since a highly ranked page with lots of back links may end up giving you lower value than a page with lower rank but lesser links.

    4. Placing Links On Dynamic Pages. Web pages that are generated dynamically take ages to get indexed, and in all probability, a text link on such a page will never help in increasing your page rank. Identify dynamic pages by URLs with special symbols in them (&,? etcetera) and save your time by not posting any text links to your site on such pages.

    5. Creating Links On Pages That SE Spiders Cannot Crawl On. The whole point of building link popularity for increasing page rank is to make your site accessible to search engine spiders. However, search engine bots have not become smart enough to read pages generated by Flash or JavaScript. They are also unable to read text links placed within frames, so it is a complete waste of time creating back links on sites that are either Flash generated or framed, since these links would be totally ignored by search engine spiders.

SE Mistakes That Shorts Your Ranking

Devious means of designing webpages to attract search engine traffic can easily backfire. These are just a few of the methods and techniques that you should keep away from. Don't give in to the temptation that they will work for you. Rather, they will do more harm than good for your website.

Not only will you spend weeks of wasted effort, you may have your site banned from the search engines permanently. Spend a little time learning the proper methods for improving search engine visibility and your web traffic will increase.

    1. Free Web Hosting. Don't consider using free web hosting if you are serious about increasing traffic by means of search engine visibility. Many times the search engines will eliminate content from these free hosts. As well, visitors will often consider these sites to be amateurish.

    2. Missing Web Page Elements. Be sure to check every page in your website for completeness, like faulty links, graphics, etc. There are sites on the web that will do this for free.

    3. Stealing Material from Other Websites. How many times have you heard or read that "this is the Internet and it's reasonable" to take icons and text from websites to use on your site. Don't do it. It's one thing to learn from others who have been there and another to simply copy their work. The search engines are smart, and getting smarter, and more often than not notice page duplication. They may even prevent or delay your future listings.

    4. Using Keywords That Are Not Related To Your Website. Many unprincipled website owners try to increase search engine visibility by using keywords that have nothing at all to do with their website. They place unrelated keywords in a page (such as "sex", the name of a recognized famous person, the hot search theme of the day, et cetera) in a Meta tag for a page. The keyword doesn't have anything to do with the page theme. Though, since the keyword is popular, they think this will increase their visibility. This method is considered spam by the search engines and may cause the page (or even the whole site) to be removed from the search engine listing.

    5. Inappropriate Choice of Keywords. Used correctly, keyword selection is almost certainly one of the critical elements of site design. Choose the right keywords and customers will find your site. Use the wrong ones, your site will see little, if any traffic.

    6. Repeating the Same Keywords. When you use the same keywords over and over again (called keyword stacking) the search engines may demote (or skip) the page or site .

    7. Using Concealed Text. You might think that if you cannot see them, it doesn't matter. Incorrect. Don't try to hide your keywords or keyword phrases by making them invisible. For example, by making the keywords the same color as the background of the web page.

    8. Using Tiny Text. This is a variation of the item above (relying on hidden text. Don't try to conceal your keywords or keyword phrases by making them tiny. Making the size of the keywords so small that they can hardly be seen causes an alert to be raised.

    9. Keyword Stuffing. Rather like keyword stacking mentioned above, this means to add unrelated keywords to the description of a graphic or tag by using the "alt=" HTML descriptor. If the search engines find that this text does not actually describe the graphic or tag it will be considered spam.

    10. Assuming All Search Engines Are The Same. Many people take for granted that each search engine adopts by the same rules. This is not so. Each has its own rule base and these are subject to change anytime they so wish. Make it a point to learn what each major search engine requires for gaining a high ranking.

If you have a website then you know the significance of traffic. Traffic is to Internet advertising what location is to real estate. It's crucial to your success. If you cannot attract targeted visitors to your site, you won't make any sales.

More often than not the proprietor or designer of the website is the person who drives traffic to the site. One major element in generating traffic is to be well regarded by the search engines. Of course, you can use paid publicity, but it's going to cost you. Using the search engines to generate targeted (interested in your product) traffic is the least expensive method known.

Unfortunately, many website owners don't appreciate the significance of search engine ranking, which leads to traffic. They place more significance on producing a "pretty" website. Not that this is bad, but it is actually of minor importance to the search engines when determining display ranking. Hopefully, being aware - VERY aware - of the list of common mistakes, made by many website owners, will help you attract more targeted free traffic to your site...after all, isn't that what you want? Devious means of designing webpages to attract search engine traffic can easily backfire. These are just a few of the methods and techniques that you should keep away from. Don't give in to the temptation that they will work for you.

How to Use Forums to Build Backlinks

An important part of generating traffic to your website or blog is to rank highly in the search engine result pages. In addition to having good, relevant content on your site one of the best ways to increase your search ranking is to get high quality backlinks to your site.
Backlinks are hyperlinks placed on another website which link to your site. The most powerful backlinks are one-way backlinks.
This means that another website has links pointing to your site, but you don't have reciprocal links pointing back to theirs.
Using forums is a great way to get high quality one-way backlinks to your site. These links can generate direct traffic to your site, as people browsing the forum click your links in addition to raising your search engine ranking. But you have to be careful when using forums in this way. Do it wrong and you will be branded a spammer and most likely get your forum account closed. But if done correctly, forums can be a very powerful tool in your traffic generation arsenal.

    Step 1:
Find relevant forums The key word here is 'relevant'. You want to be sure to find forums related to your niche
    - the topic of your website.
The easiest way to do this is to go to Google and type in your topic along with the the word 'forum'. Let's say you have a blog on coin collecting. You'd type this into Google:
    coin collecting forum
There are two reasons you want to find forums related to your niche. First, the search engines will usually give more weight to links pointing to your site if they come from sites centered around the same niche as your site. Secondly, you'll get much more direct traffic from a forum where the members are interested in your niche.

    Step 2:
Pick the best forums and join them Now that you have found some forums you need to check them out and choose which ones to join. Click the links to visit about half a dozen of the top search results. Most forums will allow you to view the content without having to join, it's only when you want to start posting that you have to register. If you land on a forum that won't let you view unless you join, forget it and move on.
When looking for a forum to join you want to find ones that are popular, so look for those with a decent number of members.
You also need to make sure those members are active. Go into one of the more popular forums categories and scan down the list of threads to see when the last posting was made. This information is usually in the right hand column of the forum threads table. If you see a lot of posts made in the last 24 hours, you've found a forum with lots of active members. With the content changing this often, the search engines should be all over that forum, which means that your links will get picked up quickly. Search engines tend to love sites with lots of frequently updated, relevant content.
This is the type of forum you want to join. Now there is just one more step before joining.
You need to make sure this forum allows you to have a 'signature'. Jump into one of the more popular threads on the forum. Scroll down and look at the posts to see if anyone has a signature showing at the bottom of their post.
There will usually be a horizontal line after the body of the post and some text and/or links underneath it. Often people just have a quote or witty saying, but sometimes they will have links as well.
Not everyone will have a signature, but try to find some members who do. Signatures are crucial, because this is where you are going to put the links to your site.
When you find a forum that meets the criteria, follow the steps to register and confirm your membership. If you find just three or four forums that's plenty to start with.

    Step 3:
Set up your signature After you login to the forum you should see a link to your user profile. Often this will be called 'User CP' or 'User Profile'. In the user profile area you can edit things like your avatar, your bio and preferences. Look for a link that says something like 'Edit signature' and click that. You'll see a text field where you can type in the text you want to appear beneath all your posts. This is where you'll put the backlinks to your site.
Forums use a special kind of code to allow members to format their posts. It's called BBCode and it's quite simple to use once you get the hang of it. Copy the examples below and change the URL and text to your URL and some catchy keyword-rich text. Paste the code into you signature box and save it.
Link to your website or blog with this code:
Learn how to start [url=http://www.mycoinblog.com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.
You can see in the code above where you need to edit the domain to be your domain. In this example, 'Coin Collecting' will be the anchor text for the link. This is where you want to put your keywords. Almost all forums will allow you to have a link in your signature.
If you want to make your signature bold, just add the bold tags around it like this:
    [b]Learn how to start [url=http://www.mycoinblog.com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.[/b]
Most forums will allow you to bold the text in your signature. If you add the bold code and your signature still doesn't come out in bold then it's you know the bold formatting is not allowed.
Some forums will also allow you to change the color of the text, although the anchor text will come out as the default link color, usually blue. Here's how you change the text color:
    [color=red]Learn how to start [url=http://www.mycoinblog.com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.[/color]
You can also combine formatting. This would make your signature red and bold (except for the link text which will usually be blue bold).
    [color=red][b]Learn how to start [url=http://www.mycoinblog.com/]Coin Collecting[/url] the easy way.[/b][/color]
One final tip for creating your signature. Less is more. If you make your signature look spamming people will treat you like a spammer. You don't have to use up all available lines in your signature. Make it short, sweet and to the point. If you post great content and people are interested they will click your link.
Step 4: Participate! The first three steps were all preparation. Now you get to start creating backlinks to your site! It's simple, just participate in the forum. Post good content, ask questions. Try to help people out by answering questions. Be nice, be helpful.
Every post you make will give you a backlink to your site. The higher the quality of your post, the more powerful your backlink will be, at least in Google. Because Google looks at the text surrounding a link to determine the relevancy of a link having good content in your posts is much more valuable than having a post that says something like, "great post, I agree". If you simply participate in the forum and try to be friendly and helpful chances are your content will take care of itself.
That's it. Have fun. And remember, you can change your signature any time you want. You might changing the text a bit from time to time to find out what generates the most clicks through to your site

Increase Online Traffic by High Search Engine Ranking

Every website needs to increase online traffic to have a stronger presence on the Internet. One way of doing this is through high search engine ranking.
Today it's known to all internet marketing specialists that search engines can boost website traffic if managed appropriately.
Search engines provide two types of listings: organic listings, and paid listings. Both methods could help increase online traffic to your website, but there's some difference between these methods.
If your website is optimized by an organic SEO specialist, you'll gain organic listings and enjoy high search engine ranking. With paid listing services, you have to pay to be listed in search engine result pages.
The more you pay, the higher you get listed.
Best Practices to Increase Online Traffic
As mentioned earlier, organic SEO can help you be listed naturally high in the search engine result pages. So, Internet searchers can find you more easily (higher search engine ranking). Unlike paid listings, your website won't be removed from these pages when you stop paying search engines.
It sounds great to gain natural high search engine ranking. Here's the important question: What's the best way of getting highly listed in search engines?
Organic SEO consultants recommend good content publishing or syndicating as the best method to increase online traffic. In other words, it's information age. Web users go online to get information. There's huge amount of information online. Yours should satisfy both human visitors and search engines. So, you should create the information that:
    * Is original and fresh,
    * Is looking at a topic from a different perspective, * Adds value to people's lives,
    * Addresses and solves someone's problems,
    * Is keywords-rich,
    * Is well-optimized for search engines,
    * Is interesting enough to be linked to, and
    * Gets your website high search engine ranking.
Syndicate Good Content for Higher Search Engine Ranking
When you create good content and publish it at your site or syndicate it to other sites, you will gradually gain high search engine ranking for particular keywords. If done carefully, you can achieve your goal (to obtain and increase online traffic in large scale) in shorter span of time.
There are different methods to make this happen. In all the methods, you have to make sure that you've selected the right keywords to lead the targeted traffic to your site. A huge amount of traffic, which isn't targeted, will be a waste of time and money. Your niche-related key phrases should be first discovered.
The next step you should do is to distribute your content on the web and create awareness for what you've got to say. This is done through the following methods:
    * Article Marketing,
    * Social Media Marketing,
    * Press Release Marketing,
    * Video Marketing,
    * RSS,
    * etc.
When all the above methods lead Internet searchers to your site with keyword-rich content, you'll manage to increase online traffic to your website. This will be targeted traffic, which can be more easily converted too. As you've achieved high search engine ranking for your niche-related key phrases, only potential visitors click to land at your web pages. They are the most prepared visitors to become your customers or fans.
The Role of Search Engines to Increase Online Traffic
Now, it's time to address specifically and directly the role of search engines in boosting your website traffic. Content syndication website are very frequently spidered by search engines. So, all inbound and outbound links are indexed and followed at those sites including yours. The result: you gain more backlinks that means higher link popularity. Obviously, it leads to higher search engine ranking.
Search engines score your website, to a great extent, for the quantity and quality of the links you get from other websites. The more links you get as a result of more content syndication, the higher listings you achieve in search engine result pages. This is how to increase online traffic through high search engine ranking.
Organic SEO consultants plan particular quality niche-related content syndication strategies for each web site so that they can increase online traffic with the high search engine ranking resulted accordingly.

About Search Engine Marketing And How It Can Help Your Business

When you have a home business there are a lot of ways that you are going to want to use to market your business. One of the most important ones you need to know is search engine marketing. It is not as hard as it seems to understand or use to market your business but if you don't know anything about it then it can seem very daunting and frustrating. So this article is going to tell you about search engine marketing so that you understand it better and can start using it yourself.
Search engine marketing is basically what it sounds like; it is when you can get the search engines to list your website in the search engine results that people find when they are searching for something specific. There are a couple of different ways that you can use search engine marketing to get your website listed.
    One: Organic Listings
    - This seems to be the hardest way to get your website listed in the search engines and it takes the longest. What organic listings are is when you use keywords to optimize your website and you have fresh content on your site because of articles that you have written. Also, the more links you have pointing to your website from other sites, the faster you will get listed in the organic listings. Organic listings are when you have worked at getting fresh content on your site, links pointing to your site and you have optimized it enough that the search engines start listing it on their own.
    Two: Paid search engine marketing
-You may have already guessed at what this is. This is when you pay a company to list your website with the many different search engines. There are a lot of companies out there that you can hire to do this for you but it can get expensive so you want to make sure this is what you want to do before you do it.
These are the two best ways to get your website listed in the search engines. Obviously, more people use the first option because everything can be done for free. You use whatever way you want to, even both if you want, just make sure you learn as much as you can about search engine marketing. This is very important because search engine marketing is going to be one of the best ways for you to advertise your business.

How To Obtain Free Backward Links

Now I am sure that most people are aware of the importance of obtaining backward links. Some would say that the more backward links that you can get pointing to your website, the more traffic you will gain, increased traffic equals increased sales. So what are the best ways out obtaining these backward links and how can you attract them without spending any of your hard earned cash?
There is a very famous saying within the world of internet marketing content is king. This statement is as true today as it was ten years ago and therefore we can use this fact to our advantage in our quest to obtain backward links.
Certain webmasters crave new and unique content. They offer an article submission service which is on a review basis. I am not talking about your typical article directories but instead top notch, high value page rank websites. The majority of these webmasters do charge for this basically to cover their time in reviewing each article. The cost is usual quite minimal and if your article is accepted it could indeed be money well spent.
Not all of these article review and submission websites charge money for their service. They are just happy to receive well written and interesting content and it is certainly worth sending them your articles in the hope of having your work published.
Then there is the old favourite of article marketing itself where you submit your articles to the best article directories. This form of web marketing has worked for many years and even though you are now competing with a far greater number of authors it is still a great way to obtain backward links for free.
